On both
admissions to the hospital, I was warned to expect a noticeable downturn in my
general well-being. But I felt that - since I hadn't experienced it after the
1st visit - the 2nd return home would also be a breeze. I was wrong!
I spent
about 2 weeks feeling like hammered shit! No energy or enthusiasm; foggy-headed
& physically weak. It was scary! Getting out of bed was a challenge, even
standing was difficult & totally exhausting! I had both chills &
sweats! Although I'd been told not to get discouraged by this stage, it was
hard to overlook!
The
rationale behind these warnings from my medical team stemmed from the immune
system overload within my body that's happening in order to fight my cancer
cells. It zaps everything that I've got!
As of just
last week, I've returned to the world of the living! I'm back! Aware, awake,
& fully alive!!!
